Jos¨¦ Pons, PhD was featured in the September issue of Crain's Chicago Business as having joined Shirley Ryan Â鶹APP as the scientific chair for the hospital's Legs + Walking Lab. He leads a translational research team ¡ª which includes scientists and clinicians ¡ª in applying the most advanced methods for measuring and restoring lower-limb function for patients with a spectrum of conditions. Dr. Pons is a creative engineer best known for his work in wearable robotics and neuroprosthetics as applied to patients with spinal cord injury, stroke and Parkinsonism.
