About the Study

This research study is investigating: 1) the physical activity and exercise of people with Parkinson's Disease over the course of 1-year and 2) exercise guidance delivered by a neurologist or physical therapist. Â鶹APPers at Shirley Ryan Â鶹APP are collaborating with Northwestern Medicine and University of Chicago Medicine for this study. This study is recruiting by invitation only patients from Northwestern Medicine and University of Chicago Medicine neurology departments.
The main questions it aims to answer are: 1) learn about the physical activity and exercise behaviors of people with Parkinson's Disease over the course of a year and 2) compare 3 exercise guidance strategies aimed to impact exercise behavior: standard care, written exercise guidance from neurologist and/or physical therapy.
